2012 Tri Association Conference a Huge Success!

Message from the NMA President

The 8th Annual Tri-Association Conference was a huge success.  This was the first time the event has ever been sold out.  Thank you to everyone who attended and to our sponsors.  I also want to thank all the attendees for the feedback provided about the conference.  We will soon be busy planning next years’ conference and your feedback is extremely valuable.

My hope for this conference is that you found something new to improve your business, that you were inspired by a story that will drive positive change within your organization and that you met someone who is facing similar problems who you can work with.  That ultimately is the goal of the NMA – LEARN, NETWORK, ADVOCATE.

The theme of the conference was “Your Journey. Who’s on it? Who’s Leading It?”.  We are trying to transform our task-based jobs into value-based missions for our employees to drive positive change in our region.  If we do this we can drive true employee engagement and unbeatable results.  I wish everyone the best in their journey.

Value Based Missions vs Task Based Jobs

All of the presentations that we are allowed to share from the conference are listed below.  I encourage you to check them out and look forward to seeing all of you again next year.

Thanks,

Dan Ross

2012 NMA Golf Tournament

On June 21, 2012, the NMA hosted their annual golf tournament at Ash Brook Golf Club. It was a blistering hot day with high humidity but 9 teams tee-d off for 9 holes of golf. In spite of the heat everyone had a great time….but they were all happy to get back to the club house for a cool drink, a steak dinner and to do some networking in the air conditioning.

Prizes were presented for the golf challenges (Photos below). Raffle Prize Winners were Monica Sheridan, Structural Panels (Cheese Basket from Empire Cheese), Dan Dunkley, CPS Wood Products (BBQ Basket), Cathy Grant, CCS Industrials (Party Pack) and Anne Walter, CCS Industrials (A Round of Golf at Ash Brook Golf Course). Brian Peterson, Weetabix won the 50/50 Draw.

We would say a big thank you to our sponsors. The Tournament Sponsor was Cameco and our three Golf Challenge sponsors were Fleming College, CCS Industrials and CPS Wood Products. Our thanks to everyone who donated prizes for the prize table and most of all our thanks to everyone who participated in this year’s golf tournament.
